*.-“*:-…Come Out Of The Closet !…*.-“*:-

And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. Mark 16:20 (KJV)

God has been so good to you that you shouldn’t be a closet Christian. On the contrary, you should preach everywhere that Jesus is Lord. ! Everybody on the job should know you are saved, because you don’t hide your Christianity. If you hide your Christianity the Bible says; “But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 10:33)

You should not be ashamed or afraid to bow your head and pray over your lunch. With all God has done for you, and still He will continue to do for you; you should almost take a pulpit in the lunch room, and preach instead of eating because God has been so good to you. I am not telling you to do that of course. I’m just making a point of how thankful we should be at all times for being redeemed with the precious blood of Christ. Even if the only thing God would ever do for us ~ sending Jesus to avoid that we spend eternity in hell.

Always keep in mind that you are Gods child. So, when you get the chance to tell somebody about the power of the Word and the Blood, TAKE it. When you get a chance to tell them how good God has been for you TAKE it. If you are rejected at least you tried, Jesus was rejected as well. Why should you do this ? Think about it for a moment, you might just be the only one they have that might make the difference between going to heaven or going to hell. You are their only hope.

So, come out of the closet !

As I was strolling through the Psalms, number 139 caught my attention in verse (23-24), because is where David prays a very admirable prayer saying, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.” ?

Here David is quick to understand and admit that he is prone as we all are to hidden sins (Psalm 19:12), errors of heart of which we are not yet aware…Rather than waiting for sin to happen and the consequences to result, David asks God to show him where his faults might lie. If he can be made aware of them before they hurt him or others, why wouldn’t he prefer to be changed ahead of time ?….. This is exactly what a person with a tender heart toward God ought to do. We ought to ask God to search our heart so that we can be made aware of anything that needs to be dealt with.

When David becomes close to the Lord it is where he realizes just how much God knows about him and how much God thinks about him. And he comes to welcome God’s searching out of his heart so that he can benefit from the knowledge which God possesses about him….In our situation it is a privilege as a child of God to have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16), part of which, is to be made aware of our weaknesses and sin.

God has given us as the body of Christ a specific time to be introspective, though His desire is that we should deal with sin as quickly as possible all the time. This is a time to reflect upon the blood of Christ shed for us such that we remember who we are in Christ to the extent that we want to honor Him fully with our lives.

Paul is adamant in 1 Corinthians 11:29 that we be introspective about sin and “judge the body rightly.” Verses 28-30 say the following: “But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly. For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep.”…… When we let sin go unchecked in our lives, it can bring decay to our bodies (in Psalm 32:3), and it certainly brings decay to our souls (in Galatians 5:9).

You know that the highest honor we can give Christ who died for us is to die to self and live for Him. It is easy ? No, is a daily decision we must make to die to one self. And, the greatest insult we can cast upon Him is to refuse the grace and sanctifying power which He died so that we could freely receive. You know that when we hide sin in our hearts, we insult Christ by refusing His gift and blaspheming His redemptive work….. When we harden our hearts we grieve the heart of God greatly. It delights God’s heart when we purify ourselves as He is pure….

One of the best ways we can keep walking in the straight and narrow way is to be regularly introspective. This involves being sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s conviction, being humble in reading the Word, and praying proactively for God to reveal character flaws that need to be rectified and sanctified. May we all take it upon ourselves to pray as David did that God would search us and know us, so that we could be sanctified and changed.

To Live as Jesus Christ my only perfect example ~ I ask that you search my heart Lord. !!!?

Word of God referenced above:

1 Corinthians 2:16 ~For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him ? but we have the mind of Christ.

Psalm 19:12 ~Who can understand his errors ? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

Psalm 32:3 ~When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

Galatians 5:9 ~A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

It’s All About People !!!

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16

I was meditating on the true significance of these words, I can’t help but notice that everything God has done throughout the Bible, it is about people….I notice how God has always been motivated by the desire to have a family. This is clearly demonstrated in this familiar scripture, which reveals that God sent His Son, Jesus, into the earth to die (and rise again) because of His love for ‘the world.’

The phrase ‘the world’ in scripture refers to all the human beings who had been and will be born into this earth. It refers to all who, without receiving Jesus, would spend eternity in hell, a place God never intended for them to go….. God created hell for Satan and his angels, while earth and heaven were created for his family called mankind…… Jesus himself stated that he was sent to ‘seek and save the lost’ (Luke 19:10).

Of course, we know that Jesus accomplished his mission, and now there are billions who, since his resurrection, have received Jesus as Savior, become a part of God’s family, which results in heaven being their home….. So where does that leave us today ? Well, we need to share Jesus with as many as we can that don’t know Him. We can learn from God’s unwavering focus on people.

In Ephesians 1:18 it says “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints”.

God loves people and he values them above all else. In the scripture above we find that God considers people, his inheritance, and he considers people his wealth. He does not place natural riches, things that the world considers valuable, or anything else above people.

We, as Christians should do the same.

Lets not focus on what you do or do not have, what has or has not happened in your career, or on whether or not you have even received the mate that you asked of God…Why don’t you be thankful for those people to whom God has placed around you. Let’s be thankful for family, friends, co-workers, fellow church members, and preachers of the gospel that have blessed Your life. Focus on being a blessing to those who have been such a blessing to you.

In Colossians 1:17 it says “For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him.”

And along the way also find a way to be a blessing to those in the world that you don’t know but are still so special to God. Remember, that it’s all about people. God sent his Son for them also. You are the instrument that God uses to show them how much He loves them too !Read More

•¤**¤Wisdom with Words•¤**¤

Words have the potential to hurt. Whether consciously or not, we all at one time have hurt or offended someone with our words….Try to keep in mind that whether you are having a conversation with a co-worker, or having a conversation between close friends or simple exchanges with anyone out in the street, each interaction has the potential to make or break a person’s spirit…… As Christians, we have the responsibility to speak with wisdom and understand the value of our words.

God cares about everyone, and it is important to be mindful of what we say to others. Walking in love and considering another person’s feelings before speaking are vital to the spiritual growth and maturity of a Christian….. You can avoid offending others when you use wisdom with your words and operate in love at all times.

Even if the interaction seems insignificant, it can still have an impact on another person. Example, yes, example, I know that in the body of Christ we could not possibly have this type of behavior (smile)…..such as how about you….. a husband who is not using discretion when verbally expressing distaste for the dinner your wife prepared so lovingly and tired from taking care of your kids all day, or even working outside of the home all day ………or how about you…. that thoughtlessly are quick to post comments bringing confusion to some new soul that is reading it….or how about you….. a teenager who is quick in anger in answering his parents in a disrespectful way because he is not getting his way…I guess assuming your parents were never teenagers themselves and don’t know what they are talking about…and I could go with examples…….What I’m saying is that everyone we come in contact with is a potential recipient of the negative or positive emotions we possess at that given time.

It is important to check your motives and think before you speak. Are the words you speak coming from a heart of love, or one of selfishness ?

Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” No matter what it is you are attempting to communicate, getting your point across starts with choosing your words wisely…… Your words have the potential to either give life or cause something to die in another person, so I ask you use wisdom….. Moreover, be certain that you speak without malice and without intending to invoke anger or negative emotions in another person…… In essence, positive and effective communication with those you come in contact starts with you !

Allowing your emotions to rule your verbal responses is the ticket to provoking offense in others…..I have news for you, anger and frustration is NOT an excuse for speaking negatively to someone. Especially when you know that your words could hurt the other person.

The Bible says, “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath” (James 1:19). If you are in a tense or frustrating situation, take a moment to listen before responding. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you keep your emotions in check.

When you have the love of God and His Word on the inside of you, it will show through in your attitude and behavior toward others, particularly in your words. Meditate on the Word so that when you face challenging situations with others, you can rely on the Spirit of God to guide your speaking and help you with your choice of words. That way, you have every opportunity to exemplify the kind of responses and love walk that please Him.

I encourage you to communicate in love and watch the change it will make in your relationships ! You’re not without assistance. God is there to help you master your words and make the most of your conversations with others.

Love of Jesus is the key to your success in helping you keep your mouth SHUT !

Spiritual Soldiers”Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes…” Ephesians 6:11-17One of the realities we all come to is that sometimes we are in the right fight but with the wrong people. We believe we are really at odds with a family member, a co worker, another church member, or even the person we are in a relationship with. But when we come to the realization that it’s not the individual we struggle against, but the spirit that is controlling them we can shift our approach. When we focus on it being the person, then we fight them in the flesh where we can never have victory. Because the enemy is masterful at things of the flesh it’s an uneven match. You can’t bring a knife to a gunfight and that’s what you do when you think you’ll give that person back what they are giving to you.But when you understand that you are dealing with the rulers of darkness that are strategic in their assignments to destroy and kill you, then we have to know what weapons to fight with and protect ourselves. The fact that they rule in darkness indicates that they cannot handle the light. And the light is the Word of God, which is why Psalm 119:105 says “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”When the Scripture acknowledges that there is wickedness in high places that tells you that the enemy does have power. So it would be unwise to believe you can face such a formidable foe on your own strength.Your strength will come from the Word of God and He prepares us strategically for being spiritual soldiers. God clearly directs us on how to protect ourselves, yet rather than put on the belt of truth, many of us are spiritually sagging. You can’t be prepared to defend yourself from the world when everything about you reflects the world….. And as we guard our chest, we are really being protective of what is placed in our hearts for there we find the seat of our conduct and character. And character is simply what you will do when you believe no one is watching. Then He tells us that our feet should be fitted in Christian cleats so we can hold our ground, despite the elements that seek to make us lose our footing. And that shield of defense against the advances of others is surely made from the promises of God.The enemy is relentless and if he can defeat us on the battlefield of our minds, our flesh will easily follow. But we must be clear that the fight is not physical, it’s not against the person in front of us; it’s one of spirit and in that we have the confidence that we have already been given victory. But we can delay or forfeit the promised end when we do not rely on God’s strength. We have all been prepared for these ceaseless battles and as spiritual soldiers, we should be tireless in working towards hearing………”‘Well done, good and faithful servant !”

*?*:~He is my ….. El Shaddai !!!.?*:~

Philippians 3:10 – That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death…

It is vital for every believer to have a personal revelation of God as El Shaddai, our God who will change the course of nature for us if necessary……Just because you heard about El Shaddai does not mean you “got” it or understood it…… You have to have the revelation for yourself.

You get that revelation only by getting in the Word and getting to know Him deeper and more intimately.
Remember that Paul said, “That I might know Him.” You have to have the attitude, I am going to stay before Him so I can see for myself….The Book of Revelation talks about angels that fly around and around the throne of God and worship Him. That is why they get to see more sides of God. They stay before Him, around the throne of God.

You have to stay around the throne so you can see more sides of God. If you do not stay around the throne, and you are down at Mike’s Bar, you are not going to get a revelation of God. You are going to get a revelation of Mike !…. If you hang around the phone gossiping with Susan, you are not going to get a revelation of God. You are going to get a revelation of Bad News Susan.

If you want a revelation of God, you are going to have to hang around the throne. How do you hang around the throne ? With praise and worship unto God… with glorifying His Name… with praying in the Holy Ghost and with meditating the Word.

Let me tell you what will happen. You will read the Word, and say, “Holy !” You will read something else and say, “Holy !” You will praise God, and you will say, “Holy is the Lord !” And you will see a new facet of God as you have never seen it – as you continue to build on your foundation and not let it slip. …..

Most high God Holy is your name !

He is my…… El Shaddai !!!!

Word of God

Revelation 4:8 ~Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.”

2 Peter 1:19 ~And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

I found this and I think it is funny

An Atheist

A young woman teacher with obvious liberal tendencies explains to her class of small children that she is an atheist. She asks her class if they are atheists too. Not really knowing what atheism is but wanting to be like their teacher, their hands explode into the air like fleshy fireworks.

There is, however, one exception. A beautiful girl named Lucy has not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different.

“Because I’m not an atheist.”

Then, asks the teacher, “What are you?”

“I’m a Christian.”

The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks Lucy why she is a Christian.

“Well, I was brought up knowing and loving Jesus. My mom is a Christian, and my dad is a Christian, so I am a Christian.”

The teacher is now angry. “That’s no reason,” she says loudly.

“What if your mom was a moron, and your dad was a moron. What would you be then?”

She paused, and smiled. “Then,” says Lucy, “I’d be an atheist.”

Death

A man was gunned down in front of a high school and all he was doing was protesting abortion.  He was carrying two signs.  He was pro-life.  I feel that he should be held up in honor.  but this may not be in the news because they will try to cover this up.

Psalms 19

Psa 19:1  To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the expanse proclaims His handiwork.
Psa 19:2  Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
Psa 19:3  There is no speech nor are there words; their voice is not heard.
Psa 19:4  Their line has gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun,
Psa 19:5  and he comes forth as a bridegroom from his canopy; he rejoices as a strong man to run a race,
Psa 19:6  going forth from the end of the heavens, and its course is to their ends. And there is nothing hid from its heat.
Psa 19:7  The Law of Jehovah is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of Jehovah is sure, making the simple wise.
Psa 19:8  The Precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart; the Commandments of Jehovah are pure, giving light to the eyes.
Psa 19:9  The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of Jehovah are true and righteous altogether,
Psa 19:10  more to be desired than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Psa 19:11  And Your servant is warned by them; in keeping them there is great reward.
Psa 19:12  Who can understand his errors? Oh make me pure from secret faults;
Psa 19:13  and keep Your servant back from presumptuous sins; do not let them rule over me; then I shall be upright, and I shall be innocent of great transgression.
Psa 19:14  Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Jehovah, my Rock and my Redeemer.
